Great book, exceptionally well written.
Smart. Well written. Easy to read. Mr. Harrington does a great job of providing a roadmap to success in the world of an associate in law firms. A must read for every law student and first year associate.
This book book lays out a step-by-step guide that explains how young lawyers can excel at both the practice of law and the business of law. In law school and in law practice, not enough emphasis is placed on the business of law. Jay provides valuable insight into how associates can treat their practice as a business so they can be effective professionals.I received an advance copy of the book from the author. I'm already thinking the people I can share it with.
Very good read. If Tim Ferriss wrote a book for lawyers, this would be it.. Filled the gap of traditional 'self-help' books in the business world with something directly focused on the uniqueness of life at a law firm - and does so in very current format. Felt a direct connection to concerns of aspiring lawyers and definitely appreciated the quick summaries of action steps. Highly recommend to anyone looking to land a job at a law firm and/or stand out at their current spot. Wish I had read as a law student to get ahead start on the some of the tactics throughout...

If you want to make a career out of practicing in medium or large law firms, this book is essential reading. It's sort of like having weekly coaching sessions with that mentor who will tell you how firm life really works. It's a quick read and exceptionally well organized.
